Hato El Frio 
Hato El Cedral - Matiyure
Vast plains or so called “Llanos” stretch from east to west of the land, beginning like some 25o km south of Caracas. 
Here is Venezuela's traditional cattle country where ranches have no fences, where it's people work hard and struggle either against floods or destructive draught, where there is always a song in the air and the thought of dancing a “recio Joropo” on their minds.
Some farms here have more than 5000 heads of cattle and the tough Llaneros handle them with excellent skill.

Life is everywhere and the variety of animals is abundant. Hundreds of birds make their home here, such as Storks, Scarlet Ibises, Herons, Eagles and all members of the Parrot family. 
On ground we can meet up with giant Anteaters, Iguanas, Turtles, Armadillos, Alligators, Snakes, Howler Monkeys and last not least the rare Puma. 

Temperatures here go from one extreme to another after almost 90F during the day it might drop to 20F at night. The same happens with the two seasons (Winter –Summer, it either rains until all is flooded or  until it ends in catastrophical draught. Only at the beginning of the rainy season the Llano puts on it's prettiest dress and blooms in different colors.

This is a Photo safari where you'll  be busy taking pictures of all the marvelous things around  you and we are sure that years from now you'll still enjoy the memories of this beautiful paradise.

HATO EL FRIO 
BIOLOGICAL RESEARCH STATION
Program:  3 days/2 nights (recommended stay)
Day 1:
Optional: (Late morning flight Caracas->San Fernando de Apure). On arrival transfer to Hato el Frio. Lunch. The afternoon offers excursion to observe wildlife at its best. Dinner  after return and accommodation in double, single or triple bed rooms including private bath.
Day 2:
Breakfast. Excursion exploring the grounds of the Hato El Frio. Lunch. Afternoon: Continued  activities on the same grounds . Dinner and overnight on the Hato.
Day 3:
Breakfast. Transfer to San Fernando. Optional: (At noon flight back to Caracas).

Included:

  • Optional: (Flight Caracas->San Fernando->Caracas approximately $100-160 roundtrip - can be arranged through us, price depending on exchange rate and offers of the airlines).
  • Transfer by car/jeep or Mini Van from airport to Hato El Frio and back (about 2 to 2.30 hours drive)
  • Accommodation in Double, Triple or Single rooms with all meals, all drinks during meals and excursions.
  • 3 excursions (3 to 4 hours)  into Nature (morning & afternoon).

HATO EL CEDRAL 
(Hato Matiyure)
Program:  3 days/2 nights (recommended stay)
Day 1:
Optional: (Early morning flight Caracas->Barinas). On arrival transfer to Hato el Cedral (aprox. 3-4 hrs drive). Lunch. The afternoon offers excursion to observe wildlife at its best. Dinner  after return and accommodation in double, single or triple bed rooms including private bath.
Day 2:
Breakfast. Excursion exploring the grounds of the Hato El Cedral. Lunch. Afternoon: Continued  activities on the same grounds . Dinner and night stay at the Hato.
Day 3:
Breakfast. Excursion. Transfer to San Fernando. Optional: (around 17:00 hrs flight back to Caracas).

Included:

  • Optional: (Flight Caracas->Barinas->Caracas approximately $ 100 to 160 round-trip - can be arranged through us)
  • Transfer by car/jeep or Mini van from airport to Hato El Cedral and back (about 4 hours drive)
